Chocolate Fundraiser

Dear 5th Grade Parents/Guardians,

5th Grade is an exciting year for our students as they say good-bye to Hunter’s Green Elementary and prepare for the next phase of middle school.  It’s also an exciting year for us as parents, as we make this a memorable time.  Those memories take a little effort though, and we will be in need of some help this year.

Please refer back to this page for updates and information regarding your child’s class trip and year-end activities.

COMMUNICATION:

REMIND:    We plan to utilize remind.com for communication.  You can TEXT @hge5th to 81010 to join our group and receive text messages with notifications, reminders and requests for volunteers.

FLYERS:     We will send home our parent-to-parent correspondence on bright purple paper, so please look out for it in the backpacks.

MAIN EVENT DATES:

CLASS TRIP: Friday, March 1, 2019 to Universal Studios, Florida

YEAR-END CELEBRATION: Thursday, May 30, 2019 with a Fortnite/Video Game theme

  • These two events are planned by 5th grade parents.
  • Class T-shirt orders and other Year-End activities are coordinated through our teachers.
  • Memory books are planned by and purchased through the Hunter’s Green Elementary PTA.

FUNDRAISING:

Students are individually responsible for the cost of their field trip and end-of year celebration.  We have planned two (2) fundraising opportunities this year to help offset those costs.  Please view the Candy Fundraiser Flyer for more information.

 

CLASS TRIP/YEAR-END CELEBRATION PRICING OPTIONS:

NON-UNIVERSAL PASSHOLDER STUDENT $125 Includes park admission, transportation, lunch voucher and end-of-year party
NON-UNIVERSAL PASSHOLDER CHAPERONE $85 Includes park admission and lunch voucher

PARTY ONLY (NO CLASS TRIP) $20 Includes end-of-year party only

*** Students will need to bring extra money for snacks, drinks and souvenirs.

*** Chaperones are responsible for providing their own transportation to/from the theme park, must have a current HCPS volunteer application on file, AND be willing to chaperone other students.  If you do not meet these requirements, you will have the option to purchase a full price admission through Universal directly.

 

WAYS TO PAY:

Students can:

  • Pay the entire amount (NO Fundraising) by cash, check or credit card in January
  • Fundraise for a portion of their costs and pay the balance. You earn $50 per box of candy sold.
  • Fundraise for the entire cost of events. Three boxes will cover a student and four boxes will cover a student and a chaperone.

IMPORTANT FUNDRAISER DATES:

Information to start the first candy fundraiser will be sent home on August 20.
