5th Grade Shoe Drive

*EXTENDED TO MONDAY 2/19*

Gear up for Good: 5th Grade Shoe Drive!

Hey, amazing parents and students of Hunter’s Green Elementary School! Get ready to put your best foot forward for a fantastic cause!

Going on NOW through February 19th, 2024, our 5th-grade class is hosting a Shoe Drive, and we need YOUR help to make it a success!

We are collecting gently used shoes in wearable conditions—no rips, no major damage. Any shoe is welcome, from kids’ sizes to men’s and women’s, athletic shoes, cleats, and more. Let’s clean out those closets and give a second life to the shoes we no longer need.

Remember, every pair counts! So, gather up those extra sneakers, loafers, or cleats, and donate them in PAIRS to make a positive impact. Let’s walk the talk of community spirit and generosity!

Not only will you be decluttering your space, but you’ll also be contributing to a great cause. The donated shoes will find new homes and help support those in need.

Mark your calendars: NOW – February 19th, 2024. Let’s step into the new year with kindness and compassion!

Thank you in advance for your generosity and support. Together, we can make a significant difference, one pair at a time.

Kindess Week

Get ready for a week filled with positivity and kindness! We’re excited to announce that Random Acts of Kindness Week will be taking place from Monday, February 19th to Friday, February 23rd. Here’s the lineup of fun themes to spread the spirit of kindness:

  • Monday: “Kindness Ties Us Together” Wear a tie or bow to symbolize how kindness ties our community together.
  • Tuesday: “Crazy for Kindness” Embrace the fun by wearing a crazy hat or styling your hair in the craziest way possible.
  • Wednesday: “Workout Problems with Kindness” Sport your favorite workout clothes to remind everyone to tackle problems with a positive and kind attitude.
  • Thursday: “Peace, Love, and Kindness” Wear tie-dye clothes to promote peace, love, and, of course, kindness throughout our school.
  • Friday: “Be Your Best Self” (Dress for Picture Day) Dress your absolute best for picture day and let your kindness shine in every snapshot.

Let’s make Random Acts of Kindness Week a memorable and uplifting experience for everyone. Small gestures can make a big impact, so let’s spread kindness like confetti!

Looking forward to a week filled with smiles, laughter, and, most importantly, kindness!
